Course content

The beginning of monasticism in the West; Irish monasticism; Benedictine spirituality; Cistercian spirituality; spirituality of friar orders; medieval devotion (piety); spirituality of knight orders; devotio modena; new monk (friar) societies and their spirituality.

The aim of this course is to intensify the knowledge of the Theology of Spirituality in the historical context.
Student is able to interpret a problematic of Theology of spirituality in the historical context.
