Learning outcomes
|
The grammar of the ancient (biblical) Hebrew is explained and appropriated, mainly the verbal system and syntax. This course concentrates on: - perfect tense - imperfect tense - genitives - derived stems niphal, hiphil, piel and hitpael
After the course, the student will know the basic grammar of Ancient (Biblical) Hebrew. (S)he will be also able to read, and supported by vocabulary and grammar, to translate a rather easy biblical text.

Prerequisites

To have passed successfully the course H1 (the preceeding semester).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Regular home study, attendance at lectures, and final exam (translation of a Hebrew text)
