Course content |
The students acquire a deep knowledge of the following aspects of Latin morphology and syntax: - Nouns: the 4th and 5th declinations; the declination of Latin pronouns; - Verbs: subjunctives; perfect system; supine system; deponentia; - Syntax: final clauses.

Learning outcomes |
This course assumes knowledge of the course Latin 1. The main goals of this course are to improve translation skills and to review basic Latin grammar through close reading of increasingly lengthy and challenging excerpts from various texts.
The students acquire knowledge of basic vocabulary and grammar. |

The student must have succesfully passed the course LAHU1 or a similar course.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Test
The student is required to: 1) pass the quizes and other tasks in the e-learning portal Moodle. The result makes 30 % of the final evaluation. 2) pass the final written exam. The course requires the knowledge of the first 12 lessons of the Latin book by M. Přecechtělová. The result of the final test makes 70 % of the final evaluation. To pass successfully the course, the student must get at least 75 %. |
