Course content
1. An interpretation of the Gospel text I - textual criticism, translation, delimitation of the text unit, an analysis of the context. 2. An interpretation of the Gospel text II - linguistic and syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, pragmatic analysis. 3. An interpretation of the Gospel text III - narrativ analysis, form analysis and genre analysis. 4. A Synoptic comparison I - making a synopse, marking of the differences and agreements, translation of the texts. 5. A Synoptic comparison II - differences and agreements of the vocabularies, stylistic peculiarities, omisssions and additions, factual changes. 6. An interpretation of the NT letter text I - textual criticism, translation, delimitation of the text unit, an analysis of the context. 7. An interpretation of the NT letter text II - linguistic and syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, pragmatic analysis. 8. An interpretation of the NT letter text III - form analysis and genre analysis, literary critic. 9. An interpretation of the text from the Acts or Revelation I - textual criticism, translation, delimitation of the text unit, an analysis of the context. 10. An interpretation of the text from the Acts or Revelation II - linguistic and syntactic analysis, semantic analysis, pragmatic analysis.

Learning outcomes
The goal is to deepen qualifications for the interpreting of the New Testament texts.
Students will improve their abilities to interpret the New Testament texts.

New Testament 1 and 2, Greek 1 and 2, Exegesis of the NT

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Student performance assessment

Tasks in e-learning; a written paper - an interpretation of the NT text; oral exam including a presentation of the written paper.
