Learning outcomes |
The goal of this subject is to introduce the students to the textual, literary and theological aspects of the Old Testament writings.
After the course, the student will be acquainted with all the books of the OT, with their historical origin and development, and with their theological meaning. (S)he will also understand the main theological themes of the OT writings and their position within the Canon and their relevance for the community. |

Assessment methods and criteria |
Oral examination, Written examination
In the first part of the exam, the student will write a test in order to prove his/her basic knoledge of the OT. See the basic literature. Then, the second and oral part of the exam consists in proving one's detailed knoledge of secondary literature chosen previously with the teacher. |
