Learning outcomes
|
The main aim of this course is to learn the basics of Old Hebrew grammar. The course is based on three biblical texts: 2Samuel 10-12; Jonah; Ruth. In the first semester, the students will learn the writing and pronunciation, the substantives, adjectives, pronomina and most common verbal forms like perfect and imperfect. From the hebrew syntax they will study the nominal clause.
After the first semester, the student will know the basic grammar of Ancient (Biblical) Hebrew and (s)he will be ready for starting the second semester of study.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Regular study, attendace at the lectures, home works and the use of Moodle e-learning system are required. At the end of the semester, the students have to pass the final written exam. The student will find all the material needed in the Moodle e-learning system.
