The aim is to thematise the theological concept of creation in the context of the natural scientific picture of the world and thus update it for the present. Students will gain an overview of the historical background of how the natural scientific image of the world was formed, what this image actually means and in which models one can think about religious and empirical truths, or theology and natural sciences. A key area to consider is the concept of creation with respect to the discovery of evolution.
- students will gain a deeper insight into the problem; the ability to update the concept of creation in the context of the scientific image of the world
