Course content |
The course consists of the following blocks: - New classifications and directions of the EC concept. - Different approaches to forest-agricultural landscape management. - The role of biodiversity in fulfilling the ecosystem functions of the forest. - The role of biodiversity in fulfilling ecosystem functions and providing EC in the forest-agricultural landscape. - Methods of studying solar energy dissipation and carbon sequestration in agro-ecosystems and forest ecosystems. - Methods of studying retention capacity in small river basins. - Modeling of further development of ecosystem functions and services in conditions of climate change. - Possibilities of influencing the dissipation of solar energy in the forest-agricultural landscape. - Possibilities of increasing the retention capacity of the forest-agricultural landscape. - Possibilities of influencing carbon sequestration in forest-agricultural landscape. - Approaches to the control of ecosystem processes in agro-ecosystems and forest ecosystems. - Possibilities of landscape planning to increase the ecological stability of the forest-agricultural landscape. - Management of ecosystem services in the forest-agricultural landscape in conditions of climate change.

Learning outcomes |
To acquaint students with the possibilities of planning and management of forest-agricultural landscape to ensure the sustainable provision of ecosystem services (ES) in the conditions of climate change.
