Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration
  • Preparation for classes - 12 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 60 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 12 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Weed control is intended to deepen theoretical and practical knowledge in the application of comprehensive weed control with the use of appropriate preventive, agrotechnical and cultivation interventions. It clarifies the causes of weeds, their harmfulness and usefulness as well as ecological importance. Attention is paid to the basic biological characteristics, diagnosis, prognosis and weed control weed infestation.
Students will learn to determine important species of weeds, including their seedlings and seeds. They will further deepen their knowledge in terms of mechanical, chemical and biological methods of weed control applied in agriculture.
Prerequisites
General knowledge of science subjects at high school and newly at ZFJU, botany, agriculture.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam, Seminar work

Processing of seminar work, determination of selected weeds, their seedlings and seeds.
