Course content
The course pays attention to the system, biology, ecology and requirements for growing and propagating the following groups of plants: carnivorous plants, citrus, bromeliads, tilandsia, bamboos, geraniums, passion fruit.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, Excursion
  • Preparation for classes - 25 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the system, biology and ecology of collectively important groups of plants that are not the subject of other courses.
Students know the requirements of the named groups for cultivation and are able to apply them in practice.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of botany at the level of KBD / SBOT or KBD / ZBOT, or an analogous course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Test

Student requirements: Credit requirements: - Obtaining at least 60% of points from the credit test. The subject of the credit is the identification of the species discussed in the course (= "license plate"). Test requirements: - The subject of the exam is knowledge of the course issues on the basis of lectures / consultations and compulsory study literature in the given scope. The exam is written. A minimum of 60% success rate is required to pass the exam.
