Course content
Individual study, tutorials: Basic principles of biological monitoring, methods of monitoring of plant populations and communitites, methods of monitoring of animal populations and communitites, methods of monitoring of the environment, use of genetic methods, use of volunteers. Main monitoring programmes in the Czech Rep. and EU. Essay

Learning outcomes
To acquaint studentes with principles and basic methods of monitoring of plants and animals of different ecological and taxonomic groups and their environment.

Knowledge of botany, zoology and ecology at a level of the Bc study programme Biology and Protection of Hobby organisms.
