Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide a critical understanding, as well as theoretical knowledge of classical chemical analysis. The course begins with a theoretical section, which treats the basics of chemical analysis. The subsequent lectures are aimed at individual techniques of classical chemical analysis e.g. sampling and sample handling, aqueous solution equilibria, precipitate formation, complex formation, gravimetry, titrimetry. The course is included in teacher training programme and it is not finished by an examination as it forms an indivisible unit with Analytical Chemistry II.
Ability to comunicate with analytical workplaces, to understand the classical analytical results; ability to transformate knowledge of analytical chemistry to the school system; ability to apply knowledge in other chemical and related disciplines.
Prerequisites
No

Assessment methods and criteria
