Every week students get view of activities of teachers during the classes of chemistry at elementary or grammar school

Learning outcomes
|
Individual assistant practical training is carried out at elementary or grammar school either continuously or in a block during semester. The student has a possibility to select the sort of school himself/herself and consult his/her choice with the lecturer of the Department of Chemistry, who has to approve it before the start of training. During the practical training the students obtain an insight into the factual school operation and get an overview of the activities of teachers and students during the classes of chemistry. Students attend the classes preferably as a passive listeners, assist to the teacher with his activities, e.g. preparation of the material and didactic instruments for the class, participate in demonstration of experiments or in laboratory exercise and supervise students.
Graduates are able to make sense of basic methods of effective education and get an overview of the activities of teachers and students during the classes of chemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria

Interview
Students receive the certification of the practical training from the school teacher and fill out pedagogical diary.
