Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide a critical understanding, as well as theoretical knowledge of classical an instrumental chemical analysis. The course begins with a theoretical section, which treats the basics of chemical analysis. The subsequent lectures are aimed at individual techniques: electroanalytical (potentiometry, ion selective electrodes, voltametry), spectroscopy (atomic, molecular) separation methods (chromatography, electrophoresis).
Ability to comunicate with analytical workplaces, to understand the laboratory analytical results; ability to apply knowledge in other chemical and related disciplines.
Prerequisites
Analytical chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Commanding of the basics of selected parts of analytical chemistry with respect to the necessary understanding of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry.
