Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic theory of probability. Another aim is to acquaint students with the basic statistical methods for evaluating the results of experimental data. This is a basic course, which is the basis for the expanding subject Biostatistics I
Students understand the basic principles of probability, and are introduced to the concept of a random variable.
Prerequisites
The course is not a prerequisite for another course

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in exercises, protocols from laboratory exercises, understanding the curriculum defined for the exam.
