Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Semestral paper - 60 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to broaden the basics of general genetics on special plant genetics in order to obtain the theoretical basis for subjects from the field of breeding, biotechnology and gene engineering of plants.
The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge for the optimization of breeding procedures.
Prerequisites
Standard knowledge of biology and genetics

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Prerequisite of routine work with information technologies and with database systems for solving tasks related to the study of inheritance of main production characters in basic livestock species.
