Course content
|
1. Basic concepts and principles of innovative business. 2. Basic documents of the Czech Republic and the EU in the field of innovative business. 3. Innovation strategies, the role of innovation management strategies and aspects of their classification. 4. Innovation process, phases of innovation process, research and development, innovation marketing. 5. Organizational structure of innovation function, internal organizational structures, project management, innovation networks. 6. Innovative corporate culture, basic elements of corporate culture, teamwork, communication and presentation skills, workforce training for change. 7. Reasons for support for innovation, main barriers to innovation. 8. Financing and indirect support of the innovation process, financing from corporate funds, public sources, commercial sources, non-financial support of the innovation process. 9. Protection of intellectual and industrial property, scope of legal protection, basic legislative forms, intellectual property, agreements and contracts and the regime of their conclusion, EU and protection of intellectual property. 10. Innovation efficiency, factors influencing the success of innovation, dimensions of measuring the success of innovation. 11. Creation of innovative projects. 12. Science and technology parks in the Czech Republic. 13. International scientific and technical cooperation. 14. Clusters abroad and the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
|
The acquired knowledge will enable graduates to be employed in innovative companies, technology parks, consulting organizations and other bodies and institutions that participate in the preparation and decision-making on innovations, deal with their implementation and evaluation. They should also be able to use their knowledge in areas such as business strategy and development, product management or brand management.
Develop and present a business plan with emphasis on its innovation.

Oral examination, Test, Seminar work
Credit requirements: active participation during consultations, submission of a developed innovative business plan Exam requirements: written test (min. Success rate = 60%)
