Course content
1. The importance of hunting and its economy, hunting in our country and in other, especially neighboring European countries 2. Hunting education, research, traditions, culture and promotion 3. Legislation on hunting, weapons and ammunition, nature and landscape protection, protection of animals against cruelty and veterinary legislation 4. Basic regulations of the European Union issued for the protection of fauna and flora, basic international conventions concerning the protection of fauna and flora 5. - 6. Hunting zoology and game biology 7. - 8. Ecology and nature protection, hunting care for game, principles of breeding and protection of game, creation and protection of the environment of game 9. Game nutrition and game care 10. - 11. The most important diseases of game, prevention of these diseases and their treatment 12. Game breeding in breeding areas 13. Pheasantry and branch 14. Ethology of game and its use in hunting practice

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration, Excursion

  • Semestral paper - 18 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enable students to obtain a higher professional hunting exam according to § 58 par. 3, Act No. 449/2001 Coll., On hunting, as amended. To acquaint them with the individual professional areas that make up hunting so that they acquire a qualification for solving issues in the field of game management and the exercise of hunting law.
