Lecture: 1. Introduction to the basic concepts of conservation and management of water resources and legislation relating to the protection and use of water resources 2. Physical and chemical properties of water 3. Use of water resources 4. Protection of water resources, the design of protective zones of water sources

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this subject is to inform the audience about natural waters quality and about possibilities of their protection and bettering.
Upon completion of the course, students understand the concepts of water management, water quality and protection of water resources. They are able to independently describe and evaluate the qualitative characteristics of water resources and to describe and propose their protection.
