Course content
Specialized seminar is focused on mastering personal presentation of results (diploma work) in front of a team of selected employees of the Department of Food Biotechnology and Agricultural Products Quality. The student is led and prepared for what are the requirements for focusing professional discussion and presentation of the results according to the generally stated classification introduced in the professional literature and applied procedures at targeted conferences. The student has to manage a public presentation in front of a professional commission and present the results of his work in terms of criteria introduced for a successful defense and public presentation. They must have the ability to work independently and be able to analyze trends in the industry. The approach to work application and its presentation is evaluated. The content of the seminar is preparation for how to properly lay out and compile chapters of the presented work including literary overview, methodology of work, arrangement of results, compilation of the discussion chapter and conclusion of the work. In the final stage of the commission, the points system individually evaluates each student according to his / her personal presentation in the category: abstract, key words, content and arrangement, personal presentation and reaction to questions.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the professional seminar is to teach students to prepare a professional study on a specific topic while respecting the principles of scientific work and to present this work to the committee.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar work

Students will be acquainted with all the requirements that are mandatory for passing the course at the beginning of the semester. The condition of the credit is the presentation of the work on the specified topic and its approval by the commissions.
