Course content
Diploma theses (DP) should build on and expand the previous bachelor's thesis in all parts, but in any case must contain unique experimental results (with the possibility of using unpublished results obtained within the BP solution) with adequate statistical evaluation. Emphasis is also placed on the discussion of the results obtained and the correct conclusions. More information in the Dean's Measures for Qualification Requirements for Final Theses.

Individual tutoring
  • Semestral paper - 55 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The student has to demonstrate the ability to independently and creatively process a professional topic at the appropriate content and methodology, as well as the ability to work independently with domestic and foreign literature, search and sort information and process it into a comprehensive form using knowledge gained during the study.
Theoretical knowledge of professional subjects, the ability to work with professional literature, the ability to formulate conclusions from the studied issues, the ability to obtain the necessary data by performing and evaluating experimental and observational activities.
Prerequisites
Completion of the required period of bachelor's and subsequent master's (engineering) studies and relevant theoretical and professional subjects. Fulfillment of requirements for obtaining the title of Bc.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of the qualification work

The student must enter the topic of the work in the required time and continuously process the individual chapters of the work, literary research and continuously perform experimental activities on the basis of the developed methodology to obtain the required results.
