Course content
They have an ability to find, qualified and process information on which they are able to create their own hypotheses and assumptions. They can search for new strategic approaches and solutions and discuss them. They are capable of reasoning in theory lessons learned, including a critical assessment. Students are thinking in context and systematically.

Learning outcomes
Graduates of the course manage to work with professional resources, both printed and basic approaches to Web applications, particularly electronic information resources provided by the JCU.They know how to specify different types of publication output. They have knowledge of citation standards (general rule, branch specific). Student can create a basic publication outputs: journal article, a critical discussion, poster communication. They know the principles for assessment of scientific text.

Student performance assessment

The seminar is focuses on the data acquisition and data processing expertise with an emphasis on foreign sources, and their subsequent use for their own studies and diploma thesis. Graduates have good theoretical knowledge in the field of data mining. They know to work with literature and literary sources. They know the capabilities of individual databases and their accessibility to the academic and public networks. They know how to use library systems.The seminar graduates have an overview of the sub-sector issues of their thesis. Graduates knowledge summarizes the outcomes of access to the latest knowledge and information in the sphere. Knowledge expands and specializes in other subjects included in the study program, and especially when dealing with the topic of the thesis.
