Course content
1. History of integrated plant protection 2. Integrated plant protection, definition of IOR, concept of IOR 3. Legislation in phytosanitary, phytosanitary terminology 4. Monitoring of harmful factors and professional applications used in plant protection (Phytosanitary portal, register of plant protection products) 5. Overview of methods of protection against pests, pathogens of plants and weeds 6. Chemical plant protection (Part I) 7. Chemical plant protection (Part II) 8. Biological plant protection (Part I) 9. Biological plant protection (Part II) 10. Mechanical methods of plant protection 11. Physical methods of plant protection 12. Agrotechnical methods of plant protection 13. Biorational methods of plant protection 14. Genetic methods of plant protection

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic aspects and principles of integrated plant protection and with individual methods of plant protection in the regulation of pest populations, pathogens of plants and weeds in target agroecosystems.
Students will be familiar with the issues of plant protection, methods and ways of various types of crop protection against pests.
Prerequisites
Standard knowledge of biology, zoology and chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in exercises and lectures, exam.
