Course content
Integrated Pest Management - definition of IPM, development and content changes in IPM related with development of methodology of plant protection, conception of biointensive and convention Integrated Pest Management. Economic, ecological, hygienic and toxicological aspects of IPM. Program IPM - Fundamental implementation of IPM practice. Fundamentals structure of IPM - host plant, producer technology (silvicultural techniques) and silvicultural goal, identification and delimitation of pest and diseases, population dynamics, prognoses and signalization, critical pest number, threshold limit, delimitation and choice of plant protection methods. Efficacy evaluation of IPM programs, economics of IPM programs. Implementation of a model IPM program for crops (cereals, oil crops, tuber crops, leguminous crops, and perennial crops), vegetables and ornamental plants fruit crops and vine.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is the theory of iIntegrated pest management (IPM) and the basics of IPM programs generated not only in terms of efficiency, but also hygienic, toxicological, economic and ecological aspects.
Students are able to orientate in the field of natural enemies and their practical using in integrated pest management IPM
Prerequisites
Standard knowledge of entomology, plant pathology, biology and microbiology

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Active participation in tutorials and understanding the curriculum defined for the exam.
