Course content
|
Characteristics of agroecosystems, position of agricultural plants in the plant taxonomic system and crop characteristics dividing of agricultural plants into groups. Yield formation and reduction of yield parameters, macro and microphenology, integrated and alternative (organic) crop production. Growth and development of cereals, system of fertilization and plant protection of cereals in sustainable agriculture. Principles of agrotechnological growing of cereals in accordance with utility trends - wheat, barley, rye, triticale, oat. Specific features of growing of the second - class cereals: corn, sorghum, rice, buckwheat, millet. Oil bearing crops, position in plant production, importance, biological properties and growing technology in sustainable agriculture. Root - crops, position in rotation of crops, biological propertiess. Growing of sugar beet and potato.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to obtain general kowledges of plant production under field conditions in the Czech Republic. The most important species are selected in every group of field crops to obtain basic theoretical and practical principles of growing of plants in sustainable agriculture.
Students are able to orientate in the field crops in condition sustainable agriculture.

Combined exam
The condition of granting the credit is recognition of the plants in green and dry condition (genus + species, scientific name) and active participation in exercises).
