Course content
Content of lectures: morphology, anatomy, physiology and insect development, population and insect population dynamics, pest gradation, regulation of pest abundance, regulation of insect pests, plant-insect interaction, taxonomy system of important pests, acarology, nematology, important pests of crops - determination and bionomics, pest control strategies. Symptoms of plant diseases, plant pathogens diseases (viruses, mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi) , plant-pathogen interaction, transmission and spread of pathogen inoculums, diagnostic, taxonomy system of pathogen, development life cycle, important diseases of field crops, vegetables, fruit crops and vine. Fundamentals of integrated pest management

Learning outcomes
The aim of course is obtain fundamental knowledge of general plant health care zoology and phytopathology, recognize fiction of insect pests, mites and nematodes in target agroecosystems and also get survey about most important pathogens cause diseases of field and garden crops.
Students will be able to orientate in the field of plant health care, especially on plant diseases and important pests of agricultural crops.

Standard knowledge of biology and microbiology

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in exercises, protocols from laboratory exercises, student project, understanding the curriculum defined for the exam.
