Course content
An overview of current knowledge, descriptions and an outline of trends in the expected development of the main directions in the field of automation and control of animal production. The course will focus on trends in several basic parts: It is a technique for measuring and reading data from media, computer technology, action elements, basic cybernetic principles, robotic systems including virtual reality. The functions and basic principles of these techniques will also be discussed, and the methods of sensorics and sensor networks will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on technology interconnection and data transmission systems. In the area of new development trends, the direction referred to as Agriculture 4.0 and Internet of Things solutions is emphasized.

Learning outcomes
An overview of current knowledge, descriptions and an outline of trends in the expected development of the main directions in the field of automation and control of animal production.
The student will gain a comprehensive overview in the field of automation and control of livestock production.

General knowledge - informatics, physics, technology in agriculture

Oral examination, Seminar work

Students are acquainted with the requirements necessary for successful completion of the course at the beginning of the study. This is the elaboration of a project or seminar work according to the student's focus.
