Course content
|
1. Outset, history, bindings atoms, crystal lattice. 2. Description of planes and directions. Krystal lattice and her shortcomings. 3. Deformation behaviour of metals. 4. Binary constitution diagrams. 5. Metallurgical production of pig iron and steel, properties of steels. Ferroalloy with carbon. 6. Použití diagramu Fe-C. Utilization of diagram Fe-C, influence of concomitant elements and alloying element. 7. Thermal steel processing, diagrams IRA, ARA. 8. Thermal-mechanic and chemical-thermal processing. 9. Structural iron, their utilization. 10. Cast irons, their utilization. 11. Non-ferrous metals and their alkou, their utilization. 12. Powder metalurgy and sintered metals. 13. Composite materials, their properties and technical applications. 14. Polymeric materials, their properties and applications.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this subjekt is a getting of the basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the metallic and nonmetallic material used for a production of machines and for a plant in the agriculture, food industry and transport. The knowledge gained in this subjekt is important not only for the machine element design but also for the service security of the mentioned machines and plant.
The student is able to apply the knowledge, received during the study, specified in the part: Content of the syllabus.
