Course content
1. Introduction to the subject. 2. Sprayer quality requirements, adjustments, spray liquid rate compliance, establishment and use of track spacing. 3. Environmental protection, reduction of spray liquid drift, sprayer testing. 4. Locally differentiated fertilisation. 5. Thermal protection methods. 6. New methods of plant protection. 7. Technology of fertilization with manure. 8. Technology of fertilization with mineral fertilizers. 9. Design of process lines, classification of sets, performance. 10. Technical performance standards, calculation of machine operating costs. 11. Business strategies with machinery. Energy and set-up of rigs. 12. Soil preparation, seeding and fertiliser lines. Lines for cultivation and harvesting of crops. Lines for post-harvest treatment and processing of root crops. 13. Forage harvesting lines. Lines for harvesting cereals. 14. Course conclusion, credit, presentation.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen knowledge in the field of technology of plant protection and fertilization and issues of technological lines used in agriculture.
The student is able to apply the knowledge acquired during the study defined in the Content section of this syllabus.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of agricultural production techniques and technologies at a high school level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in seminars, submission of seminar work, knowledge of the lectured material.
