Course content
1. Environmental aspects of agriculture 2. Comparison of selected aspects of agricultural activities under different farming systems 3. Tools for mitigating the environmental impacts of agricultural production from a crop production perspective 4. The tractor as a basic power unit 5. Tillage technology, minimisation technology 6. Seeding and planting machines 7. Fertiliser machines, sprayers - plant protection machines 8. Mechanisation of forage harvesting - mowers, strimmers, tedders 9. Harvesters and balers Handling machines 10. Harvesting cutters, Harvesting threshers 11. Potato harvesting machinery 12. Precision farming technology - general introduction, navigation systems 13. Precision farming technology - control programs, applications, benefits

Learning outcomes
Aim of this subject is to receive both basic theoretical and practical knowledge of machines used in crop production (their influence on environment) and to find a way to lower the influence of crop production on parts of environment (tools for sustainable crop production).
The student is able to apply the knowledge acquired during the study defined in the Content section of this syllabus.
