Course content
Study of scientific literature, consultations, work in the laboratory.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Written action (comprehensive tests, clauses), Individual preparation for exam, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies), Individual tutoring, Practical training
  • Preparation for classes - 100 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen knowledge about the morphological parameters of blood and its chemical composition in various physiological states and when applying modern elements in livestock management. Morphological and functional parameters of blood cells and factors affecting their formation and extinction. The composition of blood plasma and its physical properties, homeostatic systems. The use of changes in blood parameters to evaluate the metabolic profile and the level of nutrition and health.
Basics of proper laboratory practice and practical experience with laboratory work.
Prerequisites
Basic theoretical knowledge of hematology and clinical biochemistry in food animals.

Oral examination, Analysis of the qualification work, Seminar work

Study of scientific literature, work in the laboratory, mastering the methods of hematological examination and interpretation of the obtained results, participation in professional seminars and conferences.
