Course content
Feed production; conservation of fodders, silage, evaluation of silage quality, silage additives, technology of production of fodder mixtures, treatment of fodder raw materials, production of extruded fodders, technological processes in production of fodder mixtures, legislation in production of fodder mixtures, fodder legislation of CS and EU; HACCP system in the production of compound feed and canned feed, principles of good manufacturing practice.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen knowledge in the field of evaluation of components of compound feedingstuffs in the form of chemical and biological testing and using the obtained results in compiling and controlling the corresponding recipes of compound feedingstuffs. The issue of concentrated feed and their use for further processing in the feed industry. Initial control analyses, management of processes and conditions of storage and treatment of raw materials. legislation of the Czech Republic and the EU. Differences in the assembly of compound feedingstuffs, concentrates and premixtures with a specific purpose. Medication.
The graduate of the doctoral study in the field of Animal Feed will acquire professional knowledge of modern technologies and techniques of feed production and storage; knowledge in the field of biological-technological modifications of produced feeds and their use by animals. The graduate is acquainted in detail with the issue of legal provisions in the field of feed production and distribution. Graduates have the expertise of professional PC programs.
Prerequisites
The student is familiar with the issues within the scope of university studies and is willing to study independently.

Oral examination, Seminar work

Standard knowledge of genetics, physiology and biochemistry of animals.
