Course content
Feed evaluation systems, importance and need of individual nutrients and energy, feed analysis. Use of NIR methods in feed evaluation. Characteristics of feeds and their use in nutrition. Canned feed, evaluation of its quality. Current technological systems of feed production. Production of compound feeds. Formation of feed rations; compilation and calculation of feed standards; optimization of feed rations. Feeding individual species and categories of livestock, including new concepts in nutrition, in line with the terms "smart farming". The influence of nutrition and feeding on the economics of animal product production.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students of doctoral study programs with current issues and current issues of livestock nutrition. Great emphasis will be placed on innovative methods, procedures and nutrition concepts for individual categories of livestock. The next area will acquaint students with current trends taking into account animal nutrition solutions that can increase the sustainability of cattle breeding operations, in accordance with the concepts of so-called precision agriculture.
The student is able to independently orient in the given issue and is able to use the acquired knowledge in their scientific activities or other practice.
Prerequisites
The student is familiar with the issues within the scope of university studies and is willing to study independently.

Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Seminar work

Standard knowledge of genetics, physiology and biochemistry of animals.
