Course content
|
Content of lectures and practices: female reproductive organs, physiology and patology of fertilization, pregnancy and parturition, physiology and pathology of puerperium, infectious diseases of the reproductive system, diseases of newborns. Practical training includes obstetric assistance, a rectal, vaginal and sonographic examinations aimed at diagnosing infertility and pregnancy.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this discipline is to present principles of vetrinary obstetrics and gynecology and diseases of newborns.
Students will gain knowledge of the physiology and pathophysiology of fertility, pregnancy and parturition in female farm animals and diseases of newborns.

Prerequisites
|
Fundamental knowledge of biology. Knowledge of farm animal physiology corresponding to the level of bachelor's degree.

|
Combined exam
Active attendance at seminars, results from continuous tests, seminar presentations, protocols from exercises.
