Learning outcomes
The course focuses on deepening knowledge of the functions of organ systems important for production, reproduction and adaptation of livestock. It introduces the causes of disturbances in homeostasis and their health consequences. It provides knowledge relevant to the prevention of production diseases and animal biotechnology.
The student will gain knowledge of functions and their regulation with emphasis on production and reproduction of livestock, adaptation and maintenance of functional homeostasis. The student will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of performing metabolic tests and their use in the prevention of production diseases.
Prerequisites
General knowledge - biology, biochemistry, morphology. Knowledge of livestock physiology at master's level.

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified
Students are introduced to the requirements necessary for successful completion of the course at the beginning of their studies.
