Course content
|
Content of the subject: Definition of welfare and methods of its evaluation; Hygiene of stable environment - physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the environment of housing; Microclimate - parameters, evaluation, measurenet; hygiene of soil; hygiena of water; hygiena of food and nutrition - health disorders of nutritional origin, mikrobial and toxic influence of feeding,intoxication of nutrition, hygiene of storage and feed evaluation; Environmental sanitation - disinfection, disinsection, deratization, sanitation services; Hygiene of buildings;Disease prevention - Animal health, disease, animal diseases; Health Economics; Zoonoses; Farmacology in breeding practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with basic knowledge about welfare, animal hygiene and biosecurity of farm and wild animals and animals of hobby breeding in zoos.
Gaining basic knowledge about welfare, zoohygieny and biosecurity of farmed and free-living animal and pet animals from ZOOs.
