Course content
Lectures: 1. The position of pathology in the organization of health care 2. Illness and its causes, regressive changes 3. Disorders of blood and lymph circulation 4. Inflammation and progressive changes 5. Diseases caused by physical and chemical influences 6. Eating disorders 7. Microbial and parasitic causes of diseases. Immune disorders 8. Pathology of the cardiovascular system 9. Pathology of the respiratory system 10. Pathology of the gastrointestinal tract - GIT, liver, bile ducts and pancreas 11. Pathology of the urinary system and genitals 12. Pathology of pregnancy and mammary glands 13. Pathology of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system 14. Pathology of endocrine glands 15. Pathology of the skin and sensory system Seminars: 1. Regressive and metabolic changes in tissues and organs. Inflammation specific and non-specific, its manifestations in individual organs 2. Specificity of oncological diseases for different tissues and organs. Biopsy and its current importance in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancer 3. Pathology of diseases of the digestive tract, diagnostic benefits of biopsy examinations in this area. The most common diseases of the urinary and genital tract, including demonstration of biopsy images 4. - 5. Inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases of the CNS, the current situation of degenerative and demyelinating diseases of the CNS. Inflammatory, tumorous and tumoriform lesions of the musculoskeletal system. Skin diseases and their relationship. Internal organs. Multiorgan failure in shock

The course is theoretical and assumes the application of acquired knowledge to other professional courses and to the practice of midwives. It covers the areas of pathological anatomy and pathological physiology.
student: - defines the disease and its causes (both microbial and parasitic) - describes regressive and progressive changes, disorders of blood and lymph circulation, inflammation - lists diseases caused by physical and chemical influences - explains eating and immunity disorders - is familiar with the pathology of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, liver, bile ducts, and pancreas - explains the pathology of the urinary and genital tract, the pathology of pregnancy and mammary glands. - describes the pathology of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, endocrine glands, skin, and sensory system
