Course content
Content: The focus of the content: 1. The effect, importance and goals of the sport activity, energetic needs and sources during a physical activity. General principles of nutrition in performance sport. 2. Nutrition in performance sport according to the sport event. Nutrition in recreational sport. 3. Carbohydrates, fats in relation to the physical activity. 4. Protein, fluid intake in relation to the physical activity. Micronutrients in the diet of a sportsman. 5. Specifics of the sport nutrition in the means of self-assembly of a human as a sportsman bodybuilding (muscle mass growth), reduction of the adipose tissue, the importance of supercompensation and supercompensation processes within a physical activity. 6. Dietary supplements in sport. 7. A presentation of the given tasks casuistries.

Learning outcomes
Aims of the course: Abstract: The course acquaints the student with importance, principals, methods and techniques in the field of sport nutrition, with its current state, perspectives and rigours. Aim: A theoretical and practical mastering of nutrition within sport and physical activity. An awareness of basic grounds and relations of the physiology of nutrition in the field of sport, quantitative and qualitative meaning of individual items of food in respect to its composition.
Gain qualification The student is able to analyse the need of food and nutrients for the target group in the certain field of sport, uses the knowledge concerned the sport nutrition in respect to the physiotherapist work.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Systematic student observation, Seminar work

Requirement for granting the credit: activity during seminars, a 90 % attendance, making a casuistry of a sportsman an analysis, a proposal of a diet plan in accordance to their sport
