Learning outcomes
|
English for presentations. Healthcare professions. Hospital departments.
The student understands the terminology of the studied subject and is able to work with the sources. Special attention is paid to acquiring active language knowledge and skills which form the base for the communication in a foreign language necessary for the educational exchange. It also focuses on the development of the skills needed for understanding professional medical texts or papers at conferences.

Prerequisites
|
Initial knowledge of the language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Systematic student observation, Test
Course requirements: - at least 70% active participation in seminars (working with course materials, participating in professional discussions, prove the ability to present a professional topic corresponding to the focus of the study program in English) Exam: - final written test - minimum score of 70%
