Learning outcomes
|
Teaching professional language is focused on mastering basic professional vocabulary of health care and the social sphere.
The student understands the terminology of the studied subject and is able to work with the sources. Special attention is paid to acquiring active language knowledge and skills which form the base for the communication in a foreign language necessary for the educational exchange. It also focuses on the development of the skills needed for understanding professional medical texts or papers at conferences.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of the language at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course follows EAJZ1.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Test
Credit (zápočet) Credit will be granted upon successful completion of the course requirements (presence and active participation in class debates, presentations regarding given topics, final written test). Exam (zkouška) The examination is based on a PP presentation regarding an assigned topic related to the student's programme and a subsequent discussion.
