The subject is dedicated to basic terminology, ethical questions and dilemmas. The subject takes a holistic approach to the individual, all the bio - psycho - socio-spiritual aspects. A part of the subject deals with identity and relationship to oneself, as well as to others, to the society and environment. Emphasis is put on professional identity, profession related ethics and its dilemmas, ethical codices and laws.
- Define different terms in ethics - Describe different approaches in ethics such as deontological and consequencial ethics - Identify risk and protective factors in psychic health. - Promote mental hygiene principles and be able to use them in order to prevent burn out syndrome - Understand values in ethics - Present causes of ethical and non-ethical behavior - Analyze specific ethical codes and norms - List characteristics of different world religions - Use principles of effective discussion - Apply principles of mental hygiene
