Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama), Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies), Blended learning
Learning outcomes
The course is focused on professional vocabulary and communication. At the end of the course, students will be able to work with the professional literature, i.e. search for information, manage situations that require communication and present their professional knowledge.
Ability to use professional vocabulary. Studying academic literature. Development of communicative skills in English using discussions and presentations. Expressing and defending opinions in English. Using grammar included in the topics.
Prerequisites
Initial knowledge of the language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test

Credit (zápočet) Credit will be granted upon successful completion of the course requirements (presence and active participation in group debates, presentations regarding given topics, final written test).
