Lectures - 1 WS: 1. History of the field of psychology, its main issues 2. Main concepts of psychology 3. Current main subfields of psychology - an overview 4. Social psychology 5. Personality psychology, developmental psychology 6. Cognitive psychology 7. Psychology of language, communication 8. Psychosomatics, its basic concepts. Psychosocial determinants of health 9. Psychology of disability 10. Psychodiagnostics, its methods 11. Psychopathology and psychiatry 12. Psychotherapy. Definitions, main concepts and directions 13. Psychology and ethics, abuse of psychology 14. Possibilities and limits of knowledge and research in human sciences

o provide knowledge of the subject of psychology o describe the human personality and its biological and social determination o explain the periodization and specifics of mental development in individual periods o gain knowledge about the factors of human mental development and the concept of mental health o apply the principles of mental hygiene
o the student is able to explain the biological nature of the psyche and the relationship between mental functions and other systems in the body o the student is familiar with the biological and socio-cultural determination of the human psyche o the student is able to explain the periodization and specifics of mental development in different periods
