Learning outcomes
|
Teaching professional language is focused on mastering basic professional vocabulary of health care and social sphere.
A student understands the terminology of the studied subject and is able to work with the sources. Special attention is paid to acquiring active language knowledge and skills which form the base for the communication in foreign language necessary for educational exchange. It is also paid to the development of the skills needed for understanding professional medical texts or papers at medical conferences.

Prerequisites

Initial knowledge of the language level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Test
At least 70% active participation in seminars (work with teaching materials, involvement in professional discussions, demonstration of the ability to present a professional topic relevant to the focus of the study programme in English), completion of a credit test focused on the specified curriculum with a minimum success rate of 70%.
