Learning outcomes

The educational aims: - to improve particular language skills - speaking, reading, listening, and writing, - to give the practice in asking questions, instructing and explaining, - to improve the ability to follow spoken English more easily and accurately, - to develop the skills needed to understand a range of medical texts, - to cope with reading of all kinds from documents to journal articles, - to practise listening to English speakers . patients, doctors, nurses - speakers at medical conferences, - to improve the ability to present written medical information in English, - to be able to fill in the medical papers.
The student understands the terminology of the studied subject and is able to work with the sources. Special attention is paid to acquiring active language knowledge and skills which form the base for the communication in foreign language necessary for educational exchange. It is also paid to the development of the skills needed for understanding professional medical texts or papers at medical conferences.
