Course content
Subject in detail describes the labor market in particular regions of the Czech Republic. It informs about the causes and consequences of unemployment and about the possibilities of solving unemployment by the responsible state institutions. Seminars: Labor force as a commodity - labor market situation in individual regions of the Czech Republic Unemployment and its social and economic consequences Practical procedures in job-arrangement Preparation of individual action plans Support in unemployment and in retraining Practical use of the tools of active employment policy Practical use of contributions for employing of people with disabilities Practical examples of the use of the European Social Fund in solving unemployment

Learning outcomes
The subject consists of practical topics and in detail describes the labor market in individual regions of the Czech Republic and the situation of unemployed people. It deals with practical examples of solving unemployment by the tools of active and passive employment policy. It shows the possibilities of using the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic in solving unemployment.
The student knows and understands: The importance of labor force as a commodity The social consequences of unemployment The rights and obligations of jobseekers Preconditions for granting unemployment benefits and retraining benefits The term "suitable employment" The use of specific tools of active employment policy The requirement for employers, when they employ people with disabilities Practical knowledge of the use of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic Student is able to: Analyze and understand the situation of a person who has ceased employment or business To clarify the system of care for a person who comes in the register of the employment offices To concentrate on administrative links relating to the provision of unemployment benefits To use knowledge and explain the possibility of drawing finances from the European Social Fund On the basis of the told information and his/her own findings provide basic consultancy, how to navigate on the European labor market and how to seek employment in the European Union

Attendance at seminars and fulfillment of tasks defined in the seminar, self-study, a seminar paper on the topic: Situation of unemployed people and programs focused to solving the unemployment in the region which I live in.
