Course content
Course content: 1 lecture 2 hours 1. Substantive civil law - concept, sources of law, capacity for rights and legal acts, protection of personality. 2. Substantive civil law - civil law relations, protection of personality. 3. Substantive civil law - rights in rem, rights of obligation. 4. Substantive civil law - inheritance, damages. 5. Family law - the concept, sources of law, and principles. 6. Family law - the concept and function of marriage. 7. Family law - relations between parents and children, rights and obligations of parents and children, maintenance obligation. 8. Family law - alternative family care, social and legal protection of children and youth, Convention on the Rights of the Child. 9. Labour law - concept, sources, labour relations and facts. 10. Labour law - creation, change and termination of employment. 11. Labour law - working hours, rest periods, work discipline, special working conditions for women and adolescents, liability for damage. 12. Civil procedural law - legal regulation, basic principles and concepts, types of proceedings. 13. Civil procedural law - system of courts and jurisdiction. 14. Civil procedural law - proceedings at the first instance, decisions and corrective proceedings. Seminars: 1. Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge enabling them to gain not only a basic orientation in the key areas of civil (including family) law, labour law and civil litigation, and the most important legislation, but also to shape their ability to apply this knowledge in social work and civic life.
In the Law 2 course, the student acquires knowledge and understands: the various branches of law, the basic principles of substantive civil law (including family law), labour law, and the related civil procedural law. Thanks to the Law 2 course, the student is able to: Provide basic legal advice from lectured legal disciplines, apply the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in national legislation, apply the basic principles of concluding, terminating and changing employment, knows the basic principles of civil law obligations and civil litigation.

Credit test - conditions for passing: 80% attendance of classes + seminar work presentation and defence + passing a written test Exam - conditions for passing: obtaining the credit + successful completion of the oral exam.
