Course content
Seminars 1- winter term: 1. Internet services (FTP, VoIP, cloud) and their use in health care 2. Hospital information systems I 3. Hospital information systems II 4. Hospital information systems III 5. Outpatient systems 6. MS Word using templates in correspondence and documentation 7. Arrangement of the Bachelor/Masters thesis basic rules, format, structure (page size, formatting of paragraphs and headings) 8. Arrangement of the Bachelor/Masters thesis style definitions, references, content generation 9. Citation standards and their use in scientific work 10. Credit

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)
Learning outcomes
The course "Information technology" aims to teach a user and professional approach to informatics and computer technology, and to acquaint students with the possibilities of its use in healthcare. The content of this course is designed to acquaint students with informatics and computer technology. Emphasis will be mainly placed on working with hospital information systems and with the Microsoft Office 2016 software package and its most commonly used components - the MS Word text editor and the MS Excel spreadsheet. The Internet and its services will be emphasised as a modern information and communication source.
The student: - is well informed about healthcare information systems - understands information technology at a user level - uses information systems in healthcare facilities
Prerequisites
Conditioning subjects: 0 To manage basic work on PC and MS Windows operating system

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Systematic student observation

Requirements for granting the credit: 90% attendance at seminars, teaching activity, test- current evaluation of active work at seminars - to be able to complete task successfully at last seminar
