Course content
Lectures: 1. Possibilities of childbirth management. The influence of the environment on childbirth. 2. Pregnancy yoga. The concept of spinning babies. Aromatherapy during pregnancy and childbirth. 3. Acupressure and acupuncture during pregnancy and childbirth. 4.5 Homeopathy during pregnancy and childbirth Seminars: The seminars follow the lectures and always emphasize the comparison of the issue with information from world databases. 1. Natural childbirth, water birth. 2. Home birth, in a maternity home, outpatient birth. 3. Gravidoga, oriental belly dance. 4. Aromatherapy, herbalism. Music therapy during pregnancy and childbirth 5. Relaxation and massages. Positioning during childbirth. 6. Acupressure during pregnancy and childbirth. 7. Acupuncture during pregnancy and childbirth 8. Prenatal communication 9. Homeopathy

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical and practical, to supplement the methods of physiological childbirth. The content is focused on alternative methods and ways of holistic care for women during pregnancy and childbirth. It focuses on satisfying the individual bio-psycho-social needs of a pregnant woman and reducing her feeling of discomfort.
Student: - defines and expresses the benefits of alternative techniques - applies adequately alternative techniques in pregnancy - offers alternative techniques to a woman during childbirth (massages, aromatherapy, homeopathy) - defines the effects of natural therapy

Requirements on credit: 90% attendance to seminars, active participation in lessons, individual preparation for seminars, oral colloquium
