Learning outcomes
|
The course is theoretical-practical. It enables the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills of prenatal diagnostics, obstetric examinations, and general physical examination of women and newborns. It explains how to assess obstetric risks. Comprehensive information on modern diagnostic and examination methods in midwifery is also included. Part of the practical part of the subject is the training of psychomotor and communication skills in nursing care in simulation laboratories. Emphasis is placed on managing a complex situation, including compliance with hygienic and epidemiological principles, risk prevention, teamwork and managing crisis situations. The learning process is supported by subsequent debriefing, which is a necessary element of simulation teaching.
The student: - demonstrates a physical examination of clients (by looking, listening, tapping, touching) - explains how to collect anamnestic data - explains the preparation of a woman for individual examinations and care after examinations - characterizes individual types of examinations in gynaecology and obstetrics
